RICK SANTORUM appears to be suffering from post-authorship syndrome. He can't remember a thing about writing a paragraph in his 2005 book, It Takes a Family, that is now being questioned as a slam against working women. As the author of several books, I can understand how easily one might forget this paragraph or that one. But I would say that if it is in one of my books, I would surely swear that I wrote it.But Santorum has an odd explanation for drawing a blank on his own words. He says his wife must have written the paragraph. As he told George Stephanopolous: "I don't know - that's a new quote for me..."
The orphaned quote:
"Sadly the propaganda launched in the 1960s has taken root. The radical feminist succeeded in undermining the traditional family and convincing women that professional accomplishments are the key to happiness."
You can see why he'd just as soon forget the whole thing, or at least concede that his wife's possible anonymous contribution to his book was one of her happy "professional accomplishments''.
In his case, writing a book may indeed take a family.
(While we have McRick in sight, has anybody asked him what he thinks about vasectomies? Sinful? Maybe somebody will ask him when he shows up as the star of the Summit County Republican dinner Thursday night.)

Ricky blaming the paragraph on the little woman has about as much credibility as his explanation that when discussing entitlement reform, he didn't say he doesn't want to "make black people's lives better by giving them someone else's money" but "blah people".

It has nothing to do with the "left". I simply committed a human error by looking at the wrong square on the calendar. Pray for me not to repeat the mistake.(I'm sure Santorum will get the date right.)
Isn't it odd how candidates for public office suffer so many memory lapses? In this case, considering this candidate's benighted opinion of the role of women that translates to "keep them barefoot in winter and pregnant in summer" I'm not surprised that he would try to shift the blame to his wife.
Dear Lefty Abe, just tell Anonymous that your WIFE wrote the line about the Lincoln Day Dinner being on Thursday.
