Want more from the folks who support that other party that keeps talking about bipartisanship and human values? More than half of them don't believe that Obama was born in the U.S, or, like the Republican lieutenant governor of Tennessee, aren't sure. There were a lot of other things in the Republican profile from the survey that was anti-gay, and pro-Sarah Palin. It also reaffirmed what has been known in certain religious quarters many times before. Two thirds of the Republicans say the only way to get to Heaven is through Jesus Christ.
By the way, your luncheon partners may uneasily dismiss the results. But that's not how they will vote in the privacy of the booth. Fair warning.

Only 2 of 3? The anti-Obama crowd makes so much noise that I expected the poll to show 4 out of 3 Republicans think Obama is a socialist.
4 out of 3 Republicans can't define socialism, but will congregate if you promise them doughnuts and big magic markers.
If you assume that zero goes into the four an infinite number of times, you will need an infinite number of magic markers and doughnuts, too. Goldman Sachs is the only institution that can provide that much. (PJ, you're always trying to start something.)
Given that Sarah Palin's Republican ancestors rode around on saddled velociraptors 6000 years ago (or so they believe), they really don't feel any need for your fancy elitist "math" or "logic" or "facts." Those are just for gay socialist evolutionists -- the lowest scum of society.
Pretty dang scary stuff, even knowing what we already know. But for the grace of the heavens we could be looking at "President Palin" in 4 years, since she's almost certain to be the nominee. Staggers the mind...
I've got my passport ready if leadership in this nation devolves to that of President Palin and Vice President Michelle Bachmann.
