Affirmative action
It took some time for the 100 billion neurons in my brain to react a bit, but I think there is an unspoken reason why Palin stands with McCain at the top of the GOP ticket. Like Cheney, she was given the opportunity to screen all of the Veep wannabes, and, yep...like Cheney, she chose herself.
