There are moments like these when you have to wonder whether the Fox mission to plant Sarah in the Oval Office has the added dimension of sexual tension for guys like Wallace and Bill O'Reilly. O'Reilly's soft interview with Palin after she had been added to the Fox payroll had all of the makings of a fetching Valentine thought. But I have to keep reminding myself that these guys aren't in the news business and should never be confused with professional journalists.
Faux News is in the entertainment business. And thank goodness our TV has parental controls long ago set to block the entire Faux Network. Recipients of Social Security, like me, must be protected from the brain numbing, blood pressure raising offerings from Murdoch's septic tank promotions. I'm glad my tech savvy son programmed the parental controls even though it delayed his inheritance.
ReplyDeleteFox News reminds me somewhat of a new take on the old party press system that defined the early days of publicizing the positions of the political parties. However, the party press were more open and obvious of their inclinations than is Fox News.
