My father's family has been a part of that church for over 50 years. It is like a death in the family and a micro-brew is a slap in the face to the many families who have turned to that church to help them get through the ups and downs of their lives. Not to mention the beautiful artwork and amazing treasures that are in that church that are going to be vandalized and stolen by others who have no respect. Many people are hurting right now and have lost a big part of the family heritage and history. A restaurant it not going to replace that!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1709715062681399199.post-10179515251750414052009-03-10T16:13:00.000-04:002009-03-10T16:13:00.000-04:00One of Pittsburgh's old church's, about the size o...One of Pittsburgh's old church's, about the size of St. Casimir I would guess has morphed itself into a restaurant called the Church Brew Works (http://www.churchbrew.com/). I have on more than one occasion eaten there and imbibed on their excellent microbrew which, I might add, is brewed where the alter once stood. The beer is most heavenly and the food is excellent. It is possible that God has a master plan for his churches and St. Casimir is now on his drawing board. A good St. Casimir Pilsner or Ale would be just fine.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
