The debt--every city that is viable has debt--it's part of the way cities get things done--everything you mention and the items in your handout are nothing but nit picking and petty. Anyone who is a leader and makes decisions will alienate some people.Let's look at the big picture--our current Mayor has demonstrated leadership and creative ideas many times in his 20 plus years--the most prominent one is the Joint Economic Development Districts (JEDD)sharing tax revenue with the suburbs. Here;s a few more, John Knight Center; Inventure Place; Canal Park and probably most important saving thousands of high paying jobs by working with Goodyear and Bridgestone Firestone. You are talking about debt, yet you are going to cost the city hundreds of thousands of dollars for your own personal vendetta.Shame on youAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1709715062681399199.post-89224116380758950752009-02-27T10:51:00.000-05:002009-02-27T10:51:00.000-05:00Abe, I think your friends left early. We briefly ...Abe, I think your friends left early. We briefly outlined the case against Plusquellic then it was a wide ranging discussion among the 54 people who attended. One woman brought a list of 5,000 police calls to her area of the City. Several business people discussed the direct retaliation by the Mayor against them. Most people felt that neighborhoods were being ignored. Many had no idea that we were $760 million dollars in debt. None realized that the replacement cost of the sewers was $2 billion. I think most left with a new understanding of the damage the Beacon editors and the Mayor are doing to the City.Warner Mendenhallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05776084935439728465noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1709715062681399199.post-61650429636184220082009-02-27T08:33:00.000-05:002009-02-27T08:33:00.000-05:00Warner also has proof that there are still two qua...Warner also has proof that there are still two quarts of strawberries missing from galley of the U.S.S.
